Welcome! To Kathmandu, Nepal. You will be welcomed by an Asian Heritage Travel representative with a nameplate upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, and you will then be taken to your hotel located within the busy tourist district known as Thamel in Kathmandu. You will see some of the highlights of the city while traveling to the hotel, including Pashupatinath Temple, Narayanhiti Royal Palace Museum, and the peaceful Garden of Dreams. Once you arrive at your hotel, a representative will meet you to discuss your itinerary and answer any questions you might have about it. After you check into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to explore the busy streets, cafés, and shops of Thamel or relax at your hotel.

Start your sightseeing excursion by meeting your guide and climbing into your private vehicle. Your first stop will be Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you will walk among centuries-old royal palaces, intricate carvings on countless temples, and traditional courtyard-style buildings indicative of the venerable history of ancient Kathmandu.
Your next destination on your journey is Swayambhunath, commonly referred to as the Monkey Temple. Swayambhunath is a sacred stupa located atop a hill that contains both Buddhist and Hindu cultural influences, and provides fabulous views of the Kathmandu Valley and the distant peaks of the Himalayas.
The next stop on your tour is Pashupatinath Temple, one of the premier Hindu pilgrimage destinations in Southeast Asia. Pashupatinath Temple is built on the banks of the Bagmati River, where you will get a glimpse of the open-air cremation ceremonies and experience the spiritual practices surrounding the temple complex.
The last stop of the day is the incredible Boudhanath Stupa (another UNESCO World Heritage Site), which is one of the largest stupas in the world. The stupa dates back to approximately 600 A.D. and represents the center of Tibetan Buddhist culture, surrounded by local life, monasteries, and prayer wheels.
After an amazing day of cultural experiences, you will head back to your accommodation to rest and relax.

On the third day of the Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan Highlights Tour, you will fly to Lhasa. When you arrive, you will be warmly greeted by our representative in Lhasa at Lhasa Gonggar Airport (LXA). You will then be driven to your hotel by private car. Lhasa is situated on the north bank of the Kyi-chu River. It is commonly known as the “Place of the Gods” in Tibet. You will have the rest of the day to yourself to acclimate to the altitude and the peaceful environment of this holy city.

Start your journey in Lhasa by visiting the majestic Potala Palace and Norbulingka Palace, commonly referred to as the Winter Palace and Summer Palace, respectively. Discover the majestic audience halls, the precious and golden burial chortens (stupa tombs) of the past Dalai Lamas, and an enormous array of Buddhist frescoes, Thangkas, and Mandalas.
Afterward, proceed to the holiest temple in Tibet, the Jokhang Temple, constructed in 647 A.D. during the reign of Songtsen Gampo in the Tang Dynasty by Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty. Watch in awe as pious pilgrims perform their prostrations in front of the temple and behold the holiest statue of Buddha within. Encompassing the monastery is the renowned Barkhor Street, where you can join the pilgrims and locals in performing the kora, and immerse yourself in the authentic Tibetan culture. End your visit with a sampling of traditional Tibetan tea at a local tea house.

In the morning, you will pay a visit to the Drepung Monastery, the largest monastery in Tibet, located at the foot of Gambo Utse Mountain. Drepung Monastery, which housed more than 10,000 monks, is a Tibetan Buddhist learning center. As you stroll through Coqen Hall, your guide will give you a detailed introduction to the worldview of Tibetan Buddhism and introduce you to some prominent figures in Tibetan Buddhist history.
After lunch, in the afternoon, you will go to Sera Monastery, which was established in 1419 by Jamchen Choeje, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. Sera Monastery is one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries in Tibet. There, your guide will introduce you to the special tradition of debate among Tibetan monks, which enables them to increase their knowledge and upgrade their academic degrees. You can also enjoy the beautiful rock paintings of Buddha and the three sand Mandalas.

On the sixth day of the Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan Highlights Tour, you will drive from Lhasa to Shigatse. Along the way, you will cross the Gampala Pass (4,790 m) and get a breathtaking view of Yamdrok-Tso Lake (4,400 m), which is flanked by many snow-capped mountains and provides breathtaking views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar (7,191 m), the highest peak around Lhasa.
Later in the journey, you will pass by the Korola Glacier and visit the Manak Dam Lake, where you can hang prayer flags at Simila Mountain Pass, a cultural practice. Later, we will arrive at Gyantse, which was once the third-largest city in Tibet. Here, you will visit the famous Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum while taking in the breathtaking views of the Gyantse Fortress.
After the sightseeing tour in Gyantse, we will proceed to Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet, where you will stay overnight.

Today’s journey takes you just outside Kathmandu to explore two of the valley’s most historic and culturally vibrant cities: Patan and Bhaktapur. The overall historical and cultural history of this valley includes many UNESCO World Heritage Sites. As you begin your visit to Patan, you will have the opportunity to see several of these UNESCO World Heritage Sites, especially the Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Square, which feature beautiful examples of Newari craftsmanship. After visiting the Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Square, you will visit the Patan Museum for an in-depth look at the art, culture and royal history of the Malla dynasty, as well as see the Golden Temple, a sacred place for Hindus and Buddhists and the Banglamukhi Temple, which is a well-known site for pilgrims.
Your next stop will be Bhaktapur, a living museum where you can see beautifully preserved architecture and experience the traditional way of life. Additionally, the intricate wood carvings add to the rich cultural experience of Bhaktapur. Stroll through Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll see ancient palaces, stone temples, and artisan workshops on the cobblestone streets of this historic centre. Be sure to visit the Nyatapola Temple, which is one of the highest and most magnificent pagoda-style temples in Nepal, towering over Taumadhi Square.
After a day filled with cultural discovery, you will return to Kathmandu, check into your hotel, and relax for another enjoyable evening.

Your experience in this magical kingdom begins with a flight over the Himalayas into the Paro Valley, which is indeed one of the most spectacular sights in life. You will witness the world’s highest and most magnificent peaks and take in the breathtaking view of the approaching valley, filled with ancient alpine forests, monasteries, temples, and farmhouses in beautiful mountain seclusion.
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, your Bhutan visa will be stamped in your passport. After completing customs and immigration formalities, your Bhutanese guide will meet you at the welcome gate and escort you to Thimphu.
Later in the afternoon, you will visit Tashichho Dzong, the “Fortress of the Glorious Religion,” constructed in 1641 and later renovated by the Third King, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, in 1965. Tashichho Dzong is the administrative and religious capital of Bhutan, housing the throne room of His Majesty the King, the ministries of the government, the largest monastery in the country, and the headquarters of His Holiness the Je Khenpo and the monastic body. The National Assembly Hall, situated across the river in a modern building, serves as the Parliament House.
Enjoy free time in the evening to explore Thimphu town at your leisure.

After breakfast, proceed to Punakha (4,298 ft) / Wangdue. En route, visit Dochu-La Pass (3,150 m) to enjoy the breathtaking views of the greater Himalayas. On arrival in Punakha, check into your hotel.
In the afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong, constructed in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. For several years, until the time of the Second King, it was the seat of Bhutan’s government. The Dzong, known as Druk Pungtang Dechen Phodrang (“Palace of Great Happiness”), is still the winter residence of the Je-Khenpo, and the first National Assembly was held here in 1952 by King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
Later, take a short and easy walk to the Punakha Suspension Bridge, which is one of the longest suspension bridges in Bhutan. The rest of the day is at leisure.

After breakfast, proceed to Paro (7,483 ft). On arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Ta Dzong, also known as the National Museum. The museum contains an impressive collection of art, relics, and religious Thangkas. Next, visit Rinpung Dzong, which translates to “Fortress of the Heap of Jewels.” The Dzong has been converted into the administrative and judicial center of Paro.
The evening is free for leisure, allowing you to relax or explore the town at your own pace.

After breakfast, take a day hike to Paro Taktsang, famously known as the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which is a sacred place and clings to a rock face 900 meters above the valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche flew to this place on a tigress and meditated there for three months.
This is one of the holiest places in Bhutan and draws pilgrims not only from Bhutan but also from other Buddhist countries. Lunch will be taken at the Taktshang cafeteria, which provides breathtaking views of the monastery and the valley below.

The Bhutan tour will conclude on this day. Depending on your flight schedule, our representative will pick you up in a private vehicle and transfer you to Paro International Airport, three hours before your flight back to Kathmandu.

In the afternoon, you have time to walk along the peaceful lakeside, embrace the peacefulness, and discover the unique shops, restaurants, and local cafes that provide you with an extraordinary combination of nature and relaxed city living.

The experience begins with an early morning start and a drive to Sarangkot to experience the beauty of sunrise over Pokhara and the first rays of sunlight reflecting off the majestic Himalaya mountain range. Once you have taken in the spectacular views, you will then return to your hotel in Pokhara for your breakfast. Your day will then continue with a sightseeing tour where you will visit David Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, International Mountain Museum, and the final stop of the day will be World Peace Stupa to take in the breathtaking views of Phewa Lake and the surrounding mountain ranges.

Following your breakfast, you will begin driving to Lumbini, which is located roughly 180 kilometres from where you are staying. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery while driving on roadways that are smooth enough to allow for a comfortable and enjoyable 6 to 7-hour drive through the hills of Nepal and around small villages that give you an idea of what it is like to live there.
When you reach Lumbini, which is the birthplace of the Buddha, you will check into your hotel. Once checked in, you can relax and recover from your day-long journey and prepare yourself for tomorrow’s discovery of this holy place.

During your visit to Lumbini, you will learn about the importance of this sacred site in Buddhism and its many monasteries and temples. Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most significant pilgrimage locations for Buddhists around the world.
Once you finish with the exploration of Lumbini, it is about a five-hour drive to Chitwan National Park, depending on the road conditions; however, you will be able to enjoy the countryside scenery while traveling through traditional villages and landscapes.
Once you reach Chitwan, you can check into the hotel, and then, in the late afternoon, you will get a chance to explore the Tharu village, experience their cultural dance, and taste the tea made by them from clay pots. The evening will include watching the dances (Tharu Stick Dance and Dhaan Naach Dance) that are specific to the Tharu Community and enjoying the beautiful setting of the river, where you can view some of the local wildlife while the sun goes down.

Today, you will start your day with an exciting jungle safari by Jeep. Go into the community forest to look for wildlife, such as the one-horned rhino, deer, wild boar, leopards, and more. Crossing the Rapti River takes you into the heart of Chitwan National Park, where, if you’re lucky, you may see the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger hidden among the tall grasses. Watch for wild elephants and other interesting species along the way. The day’s safari will conclude with a delectable lunch back at the hotel.
You will see what a Tharu Village is like through the eyes of a local by taking a guided tour in the afternoon, gaining first-hand insight into all aspects of the local culture that these indigenous people have preserved for centuries. After this cultural experience, you will get back out onto the Rapti River by growing your own paddle as you canoe down and watch Marsh Mugger and Gharial Crocodile sunbathing along the riverbank. Following your adventurous cultural experience, you will return to the hotel to unwind after working hard!
