Tour Details

The Ganesh Himal Trek takes you to a region in central-eastern Nepal that has been relatively unexplored in Himalayan expeditions; it lies between two popular trekking routes in Nepal—the Langtang valley in the eastern part and Manaslu in the western part. This trek route presents a rare chance to encounter the local culture and natural splendor in the Tamang Valley that has been untouched because of a relatively untraveled route.

It is named after the Hindu god Lord Ganesh, and the promise it holds is the breathtaking panorama of the Himalayan scenes, including the Ganesh Himal Ranges I, II, III, and IV, Manaslu, Langtang, Annapurna, and even the Tibetan mountain range. En route, one can look forward to beautiful scenery, waterfalls, rock formations, and villages, so this is a haven for nature lovers and photographers. The Ganesh Himal Trekking circuit begins from Satdobato and ends at Dhading Besi.

This is the most suitable journey for those who wish to get relieved from the hustle and bustle of city life and dive into a world of nature and explore villages located in the foothills of Ganesh Himal. This trek is perfect for those who search for solitude and a world of Himalayan beauty.

Highlights of the Ganesh Himal Trek

  • Breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, and Manaslu Himal.
  • Warm hospitality from local ethnic communities.
  • Trek through dense forests of rhododendrons, oak, pine, and bamboo.
  • Discover the culture and traditions of the local people.
  • Experience natural hot springs, terraced farmlands, and rugged hills.

Travel Insurance

Nepal has a lot to offer with its incredible natural beauty, rich culture, and warm hospitality. Travelling can also come with risks, which is why anyone visiting Nepal needs to consider purchasing travel insurance, particularly those involved in adventure activities or trekking, as well as those who will be travelling to remote areas of Nepal. A well-rounded insurance policy can provide peace of mind through protection against the following:

  • Emergency medical care
  • Trip cancellations/delays
  • Lost or damaged baggage
  • Altitude sickness from high elevations
  • Emergency rescue/evacuation by helicopter

Many trekking routes in Nepal are over 3000 meters (9842 ft); therefore, your policy should specifically state that high altitude travel is part of your Insurance plan, as well as the option to be evacuated in the event of an emergency. Choosing the right policy will help you receive the best possible care in your time of need.

Trekking Gears

For hikers traveling to the Nepalese Himalayas, it’s essential to have the correct trekking equipment. Depending on what elevation you’re at, the weather might change drastically, so it’s crucial to use and carry the proper clothing and equipment in order to enjoy a safe and comfortable trip.

If you don’t want to travel with your own equipment, there are plenty of places in Nepal where you can rent or purchase what you need (particularly in Thamel, Kathmandu’s main shopping district). There are also locations within the city where you can find stores that offer a variety of high-quality trekking apparel and equipment at very reasonable prices.
