The Ghorepani and Poon Hill Trek, also referred to as the Poon Hill Trek, passes through some of the most colorful villages in the Annapurna region, including Ghorepani, Ghandruk, Tikhedhunga, and many others. The short but fulfilling trek is noted for its spectacular sunrise view of the Annapurna Himalayas, in addition to the jaw-dropping views of massive mountains, including the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains.
Your journey for the day starts with a scenic one-hour drive to Nayapul, which is just north of Pokhara. Here, you bid adieu to the roads made of pavement and embark on a typical Himalayan route that passes through riverbeds, rhododendron forests, and Gurung villages. The trek would take you through a range of natural as well as cultural experiences and end at the iconic Poon Hill, which is a sight to behold as the first rays of the dawn caress the Himalayas.
